It’s been four and a half months since Whispers at White Oak Inn came out! In some ways it feels like it was just yesterday, and in some ways it’s felt like years.
The reception of Alex Hill has blown me away. I remember having a conversation with my sister right before I released the game about whether or not anyone would actually play it. I was hopeful that some people would, but she believed in it more than I did, and she was right.
The two months after the game released was a whirlwind. I had a lot of bugs to fix, but I also had many people reaching out to me thanking me for making this game! It was touching to see how much this genre of game meant to people, and I’m so happy I get to be a part of it. Thank you to everyone who has played the game and thank you to those who have reached out with their stories and support! <3
After taking a break to rest my mind, I jumped back into game development! I’m wrapping up the script right now and will start auditioning characters soon! I’ve also been working on environments and figuring out all of the puzzles and mini games that will be in The Body at Clearwater Bay.
I’m excited and nervous about this next game. It’s my first time making a second game XD but I learned a lot the first time around, and I got a lot of great feedback from everyone.
BCB will have some small QOL things added like phone notifications when a website opens up, or when Alex gets a text. I’ll also see if I can program a way to use the keyboard to move around in addition to the point-and-click option that we all all know and love, and I’m doing my best to improve graphics and performance where I’m able to.
If there are other things you’d like added, feel free to let me know through the contact page or in the Discord for Alex Hill! I do my best to listen to feedback and implement it where I’m able to.
It’s been a wild ride so far and I hope I’ll be doing this for years to come. Thanks for coming along on the journey 🙂

Loved White Oak and was so excited to finally play a new game that had a similar vibe to Nancy Drew but with its own fresh twist. Can’t wait for the next one!
